NEW YORK (PIX11) — The crackdown on “quality-of-life” crimes by the police disproportionately targets communities of colour, according to a report by the Lawful Aid Culture launched on Wednesday.
In accordance to an evaluation of law enforcement info by the nonprofit, 91% of the 1,524 damaged windows arrests it reviewed have been of Black, Latinx and other non-white New Yorkers.
